Supports Army aviation systems from requirements analysis and specification development through the development, integration, test, and fielding process. Recognizes top-level system functionality through system descriptions and specifications.
Establishes technical criteria to judge development efforts against requirements. Reviews technical reports and data for Army aircraft or system components. Utilizes strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as exceptional attention to detail. Initiates, works, and coordinates multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision.
Required
BS or BA in a related field
Minimum 9 years related aviation experience
Experience assessing technologies and conducting system trades for aviation platforms
Ability to define requirements and develop proper specifications for technologies/systems on existing aviation platforms
Microsoft Office Suite applications proficiency
Some travel
Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
Desired
Wireless technology experience such as Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA)
AN/ARC-231 communications system experience
Knowledge of integration and verification of large aviation systems
