The primary purpose of this position is to
serve as a first level supervisor providing single point of contact for
planning, administering, developing, and evaluating accredited Air Force
paralegal education and training service for The Judge Advocate GeneralÂ's Corps
(TJAGC).

·

Program Director for Associate in applied
Sciences degree program in paralegal Studies.

·

Performs ! first level supervisory personnel
management responsibilities. Performs formal training management functions for
enlisted courses in The Judge Advocate GeneralÂ's School.

·

Establishes and implements the training
evaluations program for all in-residence and distance education paralegal
education and training courses.

·

Analyzes accumulated data to determine
course capacity for each in-resident technical training course. Represents the
AFJAGS with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
At least one (1) year of specialized experience at the
next lower grade (GS-09) or equivalent. Examples of qualifying specialized
experience include: (a) Teaching or instructing in an adult education program,
secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment
in ! the appropriate field(s); (b) Supervising or administering a training program; (c) Development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices,
etc., and evaluation of training results; (d) Work in the occupation or
subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or
instructing others on a regular basis.

Federal Time-In-Grade

(TIG) Requirement for General Schedule (GS) Positions:
Applicants must have served at least 52 weeks at ! the GS-11 or higher grade (or equivalent in an alternate pay system) within the Federal Civil Service to be considered for referral.

The purpose of TIG restrictions is to prevent excessively rapid promotions in competitive service GS positions and to protect competitive principles.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

1. Specific knowledge of planning, developing education
theories, principles, procedures, and practices of secondary, adult, and
continuing education as well as an understanding of guidance counseling
methods/techniques to develop and accredited program; knowledge of safety,
security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures.

2. Specific knowledge of the American Bar Association
Guidelines for Approval of Paralegal Educational Pr! ograms, as well as its
relationship with regards to the Community C! ollege of Air Force Paralegal
Studies degree requirements.

3. specific knowledge of HQ AETC Technical Training
Division structure, civilian/military programs, the roles, responsibilities,
objectives, policies, procedures, and/or requirements in parallel business and
industry organizations to determine the direction, scope and structure to
successfully administer a comprehensive training program /service.

4. Specific knowledge and experience in technical
training course development to include areas such as development of curricula,
preparing materials, test and measurement devices, design of instructional
systems, evaluation programs to include evaluating instructors and/or
evaluating overall education and training programs without sacrificing
quality/quantity.

Prior practical
experience as an instructor, instructor supervisor and/or AETC Training Manager
is highly desirable.

5. Skilled abili! ty to communicate effectively, both
orally and in writing and the ability to plan, organize, and direct the
functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization.

6. Specific and practical knowledge of technical
training programming, capacity determinations and scheduling procedures
utilizing the Training Planning System (TPS); roles and responsibilities of the
Military Training Leader (MTL) and

Phase
Program for non-prior service (NPS) students; technical training
development

policy/procedures and career
development course production requirements and procedures; to analyze student
elimination actions and identity proper procedural processing of students
reclassifications; word processing automation software functions required to
prepare correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, etc.; and analyze problems and
develop solutions.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE

:

Credit wil! l be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.

ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

:

Work may occasionally require travel away
from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
