The Firm is looking for a Senior Accountant in our Birmingham, AL office.
Responsibilities:
Assist accounting team with month-end close process
Prepare monthly account reconciliations
Assist and coordinate annual financial statement audit and tax return preparation with external auditors
Review bank reconciliations
Assist legal professionals with various ad hoc requests
Provide back-up and support to the various accounting functions as necessary
Work on special projects and analysis as required
2-4 years experience in public accounting
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Initiative to improve current processes
Take ownership of special projects to see them to completion
Ability to organize and analyze large amounts of da! ta
Excellent understanding of the accounting process
D! emonstrated excellent interpersonal skills, including professional communication and team work
