KEY REQUIREMENTS

DUTIES:
If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for planning, obtaining and providing comprehensive office management support in the areas of procurement, supply management, building and equipment maintenance, contracts, space management, property management, communications, records storage and disposal, printing and reproduction services, security and safety.
At the full performance level, typical work assignments will include: Purchasing supplies; Making high dollar purchases utilizing contracts, expert services, and open markets; Analyzing the need for, procures and oversees the utlization and maintenance of state-of-the-art office audio/visual and telecommunications equipment; Forecasting independently the need for cost estimates; Writing justifications; Drawing blueprints; Monitoring funding levels for all space and facilities projects; Developing and managing an inventory control system; Conducting regular inspections.
Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress. Travel Required: 1-5 days per month.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
GS-07: Applicants must have:
A. One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level or B. One (1) full year of graduate level education or C. Meet one of the following superior academic achievement provisions: A grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher for all completed undergraduate course work or for all courses completed in the last two full years of undergraduate work; A GPA of 3.5 or higher for all courses in the major field of study, or those courses in a major completed in the last two full years of undergraduate work; Rank in the upper one-third of a college, university, or major subdivision; or Membership in a national honor society or successful completion of one full year of graduate level study. Specialized Experience is defined as ordering and maintaining supplies for an organization; working with higher level employees to conduct inventory of property and equipment; maintaining inventory records; purchasing supplies; distributing supplies and equipment.
All academic degrees and coursework must be completed at a college or university that has obtained accreditation or pre-accreditation status from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. For a list of schools that meet this criteria, see www.ed.gov .
If selected, you may be required to complete a one year probationary period.
