Job Summary: In support of Child, Youth & School (CYSS) Programs, transports children ranging from six through 18 years of age to before and after school programs, summer care, and camps during school vacations. Through partnerships with groups such as National 4-H, Character Counts and Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Redstone Arsenal CYSS Programs help children learn to work with their strengths, interests, and each other to feel good about themselves, and to grow as individuals. Programs are offered in the core areas of leisure, recreation, and the arts; sport and fitness; life skills, citizenship and leadership; and mentoring and support services. If selected for this position, your contribution to the overall success of the CYSS programs is vital.

DUTIES:
Drives a 15-passenger bus to transport children ranging in age from six through 18. Completes trip tickets and preventive maintenance service records. Fills out driver's accident report in case of accident. Performs driver's maintenance in accordance with established rules and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Experience operating a 14-passenger van or larger capacity passenger vehicle. Knowledge of height, weight, width, and length of vehicle in order to judge overhead and side clearances, turning radius and braking distance.
