Sr. Risk Analyst - Corporate Insurance

Location: Birmingham, Alabama

Description: Regions Financial Corporation is at the momment seeking for Sr. Risk Analyst - Corporate Insurance right now, this job will be designated in Alabama. Detailed specification about this job opportunity please read the description below. This position is responsible for managing workers compensation claims. Duties may include partnering with the Third Party Administrator (TPA) handling workers compensation claims to ensure claims are being adjusted fairly, aggressively and in accordance with our special handling instructions. Evaluate initial claims information and determine whether to assign nurse case manager. Act as the liaison between injured employees, management, Human Resources, TPA, nurse case managers, physicians and attorneys to ensure adherence to our workers compensation program. Partner with all insurers to develop claims strategy, action plans and help set realistic goals for timely claims resolution. Monitor claims reserves and recommend action. Maintain claims data on risk management information system and provide management reports. Identify claim trends. Compile and maintain liability and property exposure data from internal partners for insurance policy renewals. Participate in the procurement process for insurance policy renewals.

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree and seven (7) years experience. Must have thorough understanding of corporate risk management and claims management concepts, practices, and procedures. Proven knowledge and ability to manage workers compensation, general liability, auto liability and 1st party property claims. Specific knowledge of property and casualty insurance terms and conditions, including a broad range of medical terminology, property hazards and the litigation process. Demonstrated negotiation capabilities. Must have excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills and organizational skills.
