Initiate work out and recovery efforts for the consumer, small business, and commercial charge-off portfolios. Responsible for the max! imizing recoveries within a portfolio of charged off loans. Officer to develop and implement action plans, manage third party attorneys, and consult with SAG staff with the goal of maximizing the recovery of charged of loans.
Responsibilities and Duties
o Evaluate and authorize workout/recovery related strategies for credit relationships up to $10,000,000.
o Oversee legal and attorney related handling of assigned portfolio
o Assist with vendor relations and 3rd party collection agencies
o Responsible for development/negotiation of settlement plans and repayment agreements
o Develop relationships with line and SAG officers to ensure smooth transition of loans between departments
o Obtain working knowledge of our loss sharing agreement with FDIC and ensure work performed is in compliance with this agreement and SAG/Bank policy
Required Skills
o A proven ability to formulate strategies and plans, and to execute against ob! jectives
o Strong knowledge of loan underwriting and credi! t analysis
o Strong knowledge of reviewing and analyzing financial statements
o 5 years of experience in collections, recoveries, foreclosures, real estate default servicing, workouts, and modifications
o FDIC Loss Share experience a plus
o Ability to provide financial and underwriting analysis via Excel
o Ability to effectively manage and direct attorneys in recovery efforts; understanding of Florida creditor’s rights laws a plus.
o Positive attitude and creative thinking attributes
Required Education
o Undergraduate degree is required; commensurate work experience will be considered
