Baker, Donelson, Beaman, Caldwell, and Berkowitz, PC has an immediate opening for a Business Development Assistant in its Birmingham, AL office. This! position is r esponsible for providing direct support to the Business Development Managers on a daily basis to maintain work flow. This position will also assist with marketing tasks as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Research as requested Report generation as needed Monthly budget preparation, reporting and analysis; other reporting as requested Firm Intranet page input and maintenance for assigned groups Maintain client contact systems as needed including input and updating as needed including but not limited to ESQ Maintenance of Buy Baker for attorney purchases. General support of Business Development Department including but not limited to: manage daily calendars through setting appointments and assistance with internal and external events; research; CRM database support; scheduling monthly videoconferences, including IT requirements, and calendaring for participants as needed; coordination and scheduling of meetings; typing and dist! ribution of meeting minutes, correspondence and any type of wr! itten communication to group members; create and maintain spreadsheets and files; planning and tracking training courses; event planning assistance, travel arrangements as needed Other duties as deemed necessary
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and comply with deadlines with minimum supervision; flexibility to work extended hours to meet deadlines is required. Subscribe to the Firmâs Standards of Excellence which includes an understanding of the Practice areas assigned to support. Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate with Department, Firm, vendors, clients and client representatives. Ability to work directly with attorneys as required Ability to work independently of others. Strong attention to detail Strong communication skills including effective use of written and spoken grammar Ability to operate office equipment including but not limited to personal computer, photocopier ! and fax machine; should have prior experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Powerpoint) and ability to learn other software systems. Ability to operate and navigate within other systems utilized by the Firm Resumes will only be accepted for the position posted.
