Office Manager (onsite) - Vernon, CA

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Office Manager who will provide exceptional support to a remarkable team of 10 employees. As an Office Manager, you will play a key role in upholding strong company culture and positive morale. This position is part of the Leadership Team and entails managing HR responsibilities, facilitating effective communication and coordination with the office team, and serving as a reliable backup to the Accounting Manager. Our ideal candidate will have experience in Office Management, HR, and a working knowledge of basic Accounting. Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster and nurture a positive company culture and maintain a high level of office morale.
  • Manage the onboarding and offboarding processes, including HR duties.
  • Oversee employee benefits and insurance contracts, such as 401k, medical, and workers comp.
  • Provide assistance in drafting correspondence and other materials on behalf of the CEO.
  • Plan and coordinate team building activities and engaging company outings.
  • Take charge of facility management, including evaluating current contracts for potential upgrades or changes.
  • Coordinate with our IT company to ensure seamless operation of office equipment and systems.
  • Cross-train with our Accounting Manager to provide support and serve as a backup.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Office Management/HR and possess a basic understanding of Accounting principles.
  • 1-3 years of experience with QuickBooks Enterprise or Desktop.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks, multi-task, and exhibit superior time management skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous employment in imports, logistics, or distribution is preferred, but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $31.00 per hour
