Manager - Corporate Counsel
Job Responsibilities
Your specific duties as a Manager - Corporate Counsel will include:
- Staff Attorney who supports General Counsel and Legal Coordinator in handling HMMA legal matters. Coordinates with Paralegal and Legal Secretary to accomplish departmental objectives.
- Advises company on employment law issues, including Title VII, ADA, ADEA, and HIPPA.
- Advises company on labor relations issues.
- Advises company on construction-related issues.
- Negotiates, drafts, and reviews a wide variety of contracts and company policies.
- Conducts internal training on sexual harassment and other employment-related topics.
- Researches legal issues.
- Drafts memoranda to General Counsel, Legal! coordinator, executives, or Team Members in response to Reque! sts for Legal Services.
- Independently handles a variety of litigation, arbitration, and mediation matters for the company.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by the General Counsel and Legal Coordinator.
- Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management Systems (BMS) and Environmental Management Systems (EMS) requirements.
Job Requirements
As a Manager - Corporate Counsel, you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Meet all other assignments as required.
- Juris Doctor Degree from an ABA-accredited Law School required
- Excellent academic credentials (To! p 20% of law class preferred; Law Review and/or legal periodical preferred)
- 10-15 years of job related experience preferred
- 6-8 yearsâ experience with concentration in labor and employment law, construction law, and contract/transactional law
