Essential Functions Statement(s)
•
Prepare correspondence and other communications utilizing Microsoft Suite of Products including, but not limited to: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Access, etc.
•
Maintain accurate and up-to-date files for employees, company and affiliated entities electro! nically and/or hard copies
•
Develop, organize, and ! maintain electronic files on SharePoint to be used among various divisions of the company and among departments
•
Develop and maintain business reviews/reports that include spreadsheets, charts, etc. using Excel, Access, etc.
•
Proofread documents, e-mails and correspondence
•
Track/Finalize department metrics
•
Submit supply orders as needed
•
Coordinate meetings (onsite and offsite) and travel arrangements
•
Maintain organization of workload
•
Assist departments in executing daily job activities to reach short and long term goals
•
Responsible for continuous self-improvement, taking initiative, and exhibiting a willingness to learn through the knowledge and use of all Buffalo Rock provided training, either web-based, in-house, or any other provided method.
•
Must successfully complete assigned training curriculum, including but not limited to online assigned, and/or facilitated train! ing.
•
Coordinate, communicate, and support other company departments as needed
•
Carry out any and all administrative duties as needed
•

Human Resources Specific Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Validate and submit time for temporary employees
  • Review and code invoices for payment (supplies, temp EPs, deductible billings, drug testing, etc.) and remit accordingly
  • Review and maintain punches in time tracking system
  • Review attendance data from time tracking system and maintain attendance occurrence database
  • Maintain general HR e-mail account and forward/respond accordingly
  • Request Certificates of Insurance and disburse/maintain accordingly
  • Receive and distribute unemployment notices, determinations, etc.
  • Maintain I-9 forms for active and inactive employees
  • Respond to general verifications of employment
  • Maintain company job descriptions
  • Prepar! e monthly HR newsletter
  • Serve as backup on departmental tasks ! including, but not limited to: orientation, plant HR support, etc.

Legal Specific Tasks/Responsibilities:
  • Prepare correspondence using letter format for collection of past due accounts, accidents, subrogation, internal communications, external communications, etc. and execute the appropriate mailings related to the same
  • Communicate with customers, insurance adjusters and/or attorney's regarding accounts, litigation, insurance claims and other matters
  • Transcribe tapes and letters for audits, collections, theft, etc. and maintain files
  • Update litigation files
  • Summarize case information
  • Maintain itinerary/monthly calendar for key dates for insurance claims and litigation
  • Conduct legal and general research utilizing Westlaw and other sources
  • Summarize and edit agreements
  • Prepare drafts of simple legal documents
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education:
Associate's Degree (two year college or technical school) Required, Field of Study: Paralegal/Paralegal Certificate
Bachelor's Degree (four year college or technical school): Preferred

Experience:
Human Resources and/or legal experience is required

Computer Skills:
Computer, printer, scanner, fax machine, copier, calculator/adding machine, labeler

Knowledge of a wide range of computer software programs with a broad ability and willingness to acquire new skills

Advanced experience in/ application of Microsoft Office products is required (intermediate is preferred) including, but not limited to: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Access, etc.
