PATIENT ACCOUNT REP LEAD

To provide leadership and direction to other employees in the department. To handle patient concerns/issues on accoun! ts or medical care from complaint to resolution. To resolve account liability by contacting patients, insurance companies and/or collection agencies. To handle payment negotiations with patient, insurance companies and attorneys.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Work experience may substitute for minimum education requirement.
High School diploma or GED and two (2) years of related experience required.
CERTIFICATIONS
Certified Patient Account Representative (CPAR) required within six (6) months of hire
KSA Knowledge of International Classification of Diseases (ICD-9), Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) coding
KSA Excellent written and verbal communication skills
KSA Ability to multi-task
KSA Ability to operate various office machines including printers, computers and various software packages
KSA Ability to problem-solve
KSA Ability to train others
