Career Personnel Service, Montgomery's oldest staffing agency, is currently seeking a Legal Secretary for a law firm located in Montgomery, AL. Responsibilities will! include the following:
Typing correspondence, memoranda, complaints, motions, subpoenas, depositions and briefs
Responsible for maintaining files and indexes
Recording trail information, dates, pleas, convictions, acquittals, sentences and other dispositions
Filing documents on behalf of the Attorneys
Preparing calendars for court
Preparing reports for court
Dictation and transcribing
Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
Requirements for the Legal Secretary position include but not limited to the following:
Minimum 5+ years of recent legal experience. No exceptions
Ability to type a minimum of 60+ wpm. Will be tested
Previous experience in general litigation
Medical Malpractice experience a plus
